About Payerworks
A billing company built a clearinghouse, because it had to.
Payerworks is a Lucra Health Services company. Lucra bills medical claims for dental sleep practices, and the clearinghouse began as the part of that work nobody else would do properly.
The company
A Lucra Health Services company
Why a second name
A clearinghouse serves payers, networks and other billing teams, including teams that compete with Lucra. It needs a name that belongs to all of them, and a company that answers to all of them. Payerworks carries its own name on every agreement and every file.
How it was built
Payerworks was written from the inside of a working billing operation, where every clearinghouse failure arrived as a late payment with a patient’s name on it. Each lane was built after measuring the one it replaced, against our own book, and it moves onto Payerworks only when it is better.
Where it is going
Direct connections to the Medicare contractors and the commercial gateways, eligibility and coverage discovery on our own connections, enrollment that completes itself, and every acknowledgment translated into the fix. In that order, each lane measured before it is switched.
